CNC
SIMULATOR
The
CNC simulator simulates a number of CNC machines. This is mainly used to
verify that an extensive cutting program which has been developed does
not have any bugs in it. It uses graphical visualization to show the
path the tool will take and the motion as well as sped of the movement.
Also, the resultant tool path simulation can be viewed from any
co-ordinate and angle and also to any zoom level.
Using
this software, an operator can verify that the code is indeed correct
and can also visually check if it is doing what he intended it to do.
This saves a lot of material costs and also tool costs, which can be
quite expensive.
Also, the software can interface with the
CNC machine itself and download the program after the operator is
satisfied. This way huge programs don't have to be manually coded in the
machine, reducing operator error as well as time savings.
